ABOUT PIA

Pia Ostrognai is a visual storyteller.

Her diverse background from living in Hong Kong, Colorado, and New York influences her work heavily, nurturing her passion for photojournalism, street portraiture, and event coverage. ​

​

Now at New York University - Tisch School of the Arts studying Photography & Imaging (B.F.A.), each photograph Pia takes aims to further portray the world's hidden or underappreciated wonders, re-representing and placing her subject matter in a different light. She finds beauty in mundanity and fleetingness, empowerment and courage, and truthfulness and narration.

She is a national and regional award-winning photographer and writer. Pia has received recognition from some of the most prestigious art organizations for her demographic over the span of the past four years, with her work being exhibited and published in various galleries and publications, and she aspires to continue establishing herself within the artistic community.
